Lepel's Auto Detect QC Monitor Offers New Way to Accurately Measure Cap Sealing Energy
(November 3, 2002) WAUKESHA, WI — Lepel Corporation,
a leading provider of high quality induction cap sealing
equipment for packaging and laboratory environments,
offers the Auto Detect QC Monitor, a seal process quality
control device that accurately measures cap sealing
energy from the exact position as the liner material.
Providing complete detection of sealing problems, the
system gives an immediate pass/fail indication that
a sample container meets pre-established criteria for
an acceptable sealing process.
Offered as part of Lepel's Seal Process Certification
System, the unit senses sealing energy from the sample
container on the production line, and a handheld receiver
indicates if the energy meets
pre-established criteria. If desired, the Auto Detect
QC Monitor can then provide more detailed data to a
personal computer for quality control use. An in-depth
diagnostic guide is provided to troubleshoot reasons
for failure. The monitor can also be used to perform
non-destructive quality control tests and to set up
production lines when new products are packaged or
when equipment is changed.
The Auto Detect QC operates wirelessly for easy integration
with the existing product line. It features an easy-to-read
alphanumeric display, and stores up to eight program
settings for different product lines or containers.
The unit is designed for use with Lepel's Multimonitor/Process
Control System for complete seal process monitoring.
