Lepel Introduces the First Self-cooled Induction Cap Sealer With Fan-Free Sealing Head

(November 3, 2002) WAUKESHA, WI — Lepel Corporation, a leading provider of high quality induction cap sealing equipment for packaging environments, has introduced the world’s first self-cooled induction cap sealing system with a fan-free sealing head to provide outstanding sealing in a single, maintenance-free unit. The new CS Plus150 is water-free and has no fan in the sealing head, eliminating plumbing or the need to change filters. It is shipped fully assembled, ready to plug in, and accommodates line speeds of up to 150 feet per minute.

The CS Plus150 is ultra-reliable and seals a broad variety of caps from 5mm to 120mm. Easy-to-operate, legible microprocessor controls allow user-defined parameters to be programmed in. A second control panel may be located remotely. The system also features built-in system integrity monitoring for power, current, frequency, phase, temperature, and communication. The CS Plus150 has a solid state design with NEMA-approved modular components and a two-year warranty.

Induction cap sealing is a non-contact process that uses an electromagnetic field to safely seal foil disks to product containers. The many advantages of induction sealing include tamper evident and leakproof seals; airtight barriers for increased shelf life; seals that discourage pilferage; and assurance that the product has been untouched, leading to enhanced customer confidence.
