Scalish to Expand International Sales for Lepel

(December 19, 2002) WAUKESHA, WI — Lepel Corporation, a leading provider of high quality induction cap sealing equipment for packaging environments, has appointed Bob Scalish to lead a major sales expansion effort in international markets, including Latin America and Asia. Mr. Scalish’s responsibilities involve expanding business and distribution channels for Lepel’s complete cap sealing product line in these territories. He will also continue to grow international business for Corotec Corporation, Lepel’s sister company, where he has been highly instrumental in enhancing Corotec’s international presence since September 2000.

Mr. Scalish is a 30-year industry veteran, bringing to the position a wealth of experience in building international sales for cap sealing and corona treating systems. His background includes international sales development positions at Pillar Technologies as well as electronics training.

Induction cap sealing is a non-contact process that uses an electromagnetic field to safely seal foil disks to product containers. The many advantages of induction cap sealing include tamper evident and leakproof seals; airtight barriers for increased shelf life; seals that discourage pilferage; and assurance that the product has been untouched, leading to enhanced customer confidence. Lepel products include the self-cooled CS Plus150 and CS Plus350; the portable LEPAK® Jr; and a complete family of power supplies.
